The Slave He Bought is a BL tragic romance set on an 1800s Southern cotton plantation. Young heir Elliot suffers brutal control from his tyrannical father Samuel, and only finds temporary dominance and secret love with Theodore, an enslaved Black man on his estate. Their forbidden affair is exposed, triggering cruel punishment and family conflict. To save Theodore from being sold far away, Elliot uses his maternal inheritance to legally purchase him. The pair struggles against rigid racial hierarchy, paternal oppression and constant danger of escape plots.
